A peaceful start to your Sunday morning. The service includes music and hymns we sing together, as well as quiet time for prayer. The sermon is read from the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Stay and mingle afterwards if you like, and meet on the portico the first Sunday every month for refreshments. Sharing real examples of how prayer heals. A special part of our midweek meetings is time set aside for quiet prayer and sharing personal testimonies that highlight God’s power to heal challenges of any kind. This follows hymns and brief readings from the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures that provide a healing response to current issues. Childcare is available during the meeting. Wednesday meetings are a wonderful time to refresh your spiritual direction in the middle of the week.
Child Care
We love to care for little ones so their adults can enjoy the Sunday service and Wednesday evening meeting. Ask an usher to lead you to the childcare room and introduce you to the caregiver. Afterward, feel free to linger to meet people. Your children will be cared for until you return to pick them up.
Sunday School
Participate during the same hour as the Sunday service or online by appointment. Sunday School classes center around the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Students of all ages learn how prayer is a practical way to see and feel God’s loving presence in their lives. Younger classes learn the Ten Commandments, the Lord’s Prayer and the Sermon on the Mount, along with Bible stories. Through questions and answers, older students learn how to apply key ideas from the weekly Bible Lesson to today’s challenges. Children start Sunday School around age three and continue to their 20th birthday. All young people are welcome — whether or not their families study Christian Science. Drop in Sunday morning at 10am or connect with a teacher in advance.
Dog-friendly services
Do you have a dog that is happier staying by your side? Not a problem. Several of our members bring their canine companions to our services. Your well-behaved dog is welcome on a leash.
