Ways to meet us
Come talk with people from our Palo Alto church. In addition to our twice-a-week church services, here are ways to talk with others in groups and one on one to ask questions about Christian Science, find out about our church’s activities, and make friends.
Stop by the Reading Room
Chat or study. Our Reading Room is located on California Avenue, an active restaurant district serving nearby startups. The Reading Room is both a bookstore and a library, staffed by volunteers who actively study and practice Christian Science. They will be happy to answer your questions, assist you in exploring the resources of the Reading Room, or just be a quiet presence as you read, study, or pray on your own.

Talk with a Christian Science Practitioner
Get healing support. A Christian Science practitioner is devoted full time to helping people through prayer. You can call or meet with a practitioner for any challenge you face, be it physical, financial, the workplace, relationships, etc. This video gives a sense for what it’s like to talk with a Christian Science practitioner. Here is a directory of practitioners and more information about working with one.
Tuesday 7pm Bible Lesson study
Come join the discussion. In this small group, we read the Christian Science Bible lesson sermon for that week together. People take turns volunteering to read a section of the lesson out loud. We pause to share insights, something we’ve researched, or personal experiences related to what we’re reading. We welcome hearing your insights; it’s also fine to just listen!

1st Sunday refreshments
Food and fellowship after church. On the first Sunday of the month, we linger to talk with each other and enjoy fruit and baked goods. It’s a great chance to meet new people and catch up with old friends. When it’s nice out, we gather on the front portico. During the winter, we set up tables in the lobby. We hope you can stay for a few minutes to join us!
Wednesday Meetings
Practical examples of Christian Science healings. During the second half of our Wednesday meetings, we share stories and testimonies of healing with each other. It’s so helpful to hear how others are applying this practical method of spiritual healing! Afterward, many people enjoy lingering to talk informally about ideas that were shared, or just get to know church family members better.
Sunday School
Children and young people up to the age of 20 are invited to Sunday School. It’s an engaging, safe place for kids and teens to ask questions, learn from their peers, and find spiritual solutions to all kinds of challenges.
